about

This track opens with my late grandfather doing an impromptu sketch as a news journalist covering the 7-Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys while I captured it with his VHS camcorder. The track then blends into The Beach Boys singing Auld Lang Syne with samples of my sisters and I as small kids on a Christmas Day while opening gifts.

After an emotional journey through time, the pace picks up with The Orb's Toxygene with more family samples coalescing with the backbeat. There's also parts of a Universal Studios cowboy sketch my eldest sister and I saw and videotaped as kids, which we found HILARIOUS at the time. Within the middle of the Toxygene track, there's a shift to a LIVE version of Toxygene, which picks up the pace a bit, and the various themes of the track come together for a fun but celebratory ending with my grandmother closing out back in the Florida Keys where the track started.

about

Humblety Indianapolis, Indiana

Sound, pulse, organized tone - has always been a part of my life's experience - whether it's the random sounds around me coalescing into patterns, or more overt compositions. My influences and compositions range from jazz and experimental classical to vocal, but electronica and ambient is where everything settles in my head.
